Manny Villa, Chairman

Mr. Manuel Villa has led VIA Technology as President and CEO since 1995, driving innovation in the IoT construction sector. Under his leadership, the company has specialized in low-voltage cabling, video surveillance, access control, and audio-visual systems. His expertise has been instrumental in significant IT projects, including technical and functional delivery for the City of San Antonio’s SAP implementation and managing the Homeless Management Information Systems project for City of San Antonio. He also played a key role in IT project management for University Health Systems’ Robert B. Green Clinic.

Mr. Villa’s career spans leadership roles in various organizations, including serving as Vice President of Business Development at Shirley Data Systems, District Sales Manager at Brother International, and Major Account Manager at Computercraft. His extensive experience in business development and technology integration has made him a respected leader in the industry.

A graduate of the University of Texas’s CMBA program, Mr. Villa has further honed his expertise through executive management programs at Stanford University, Babson University, and the Kellogg School of Business at Dartmouth University.

Beyond his professional success, Mr. Villa is deeply committed to his community. He serves as Vice Director of the XChange Advisory Board, Chairman of the Bexar County SMWBE Committee, and Technology Chair of the Children’s Bereavement Center. His previous leadership roles include Board Chairman of the Brooks Development Authority, President of the Central Catholic Parent Club, member of the City of San Antonio Economic Development Goal Setting Committee, and involvement with the Channel Vanguard Council.

Under Mr. Villa’s leadership, VIA Technology has been recognized for its contributions to the industry and community. The company has received awards from the San Antonio Business Journal, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Magazine, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and CRN Magazine. Additionally, VIA Technology was honored as the Minority Technology Firm of the Year by the UTSA Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center San Antonio.
